Overview of Handling Hypertension in the Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia

Hypertension is persistent blood pressure with systolic above 140mmHg and diastolic 90 mmHg. The disease often called thesilent killer because it does not indicate any typical symptoms, but can increase thepossibility of stroke, heart attack, chronic kidney even blindness if isnot controlled counter-measured properly. Complications hypertension causeabout 9.4% deaths worldwide each year. Data from the Konawe District HealthOffice demonstrated that was on 4th rank top 10 diseases.The prevalence in Regency 2018 reached 4,399 (100%).During last five years, cases have increased. statistics theincidence handling 2019 has increased, upto 100%, which target Minimum Service Standards (SPM).
